From Paris to Megusta: The Exclusive Lacoste SS26 Runway Pop-up

Megusta brings the Paris Runway to the Netherlands
Lacoste is redefining the boundaries of sport-luxe, and we are bringing that vision straight from the Parisian runway to our floor in Utrecht. We are proud to announce that Megusta is the only destination in the Netherlands selected to host the official Lacoste SS26 Runway Pop-up.

The Concept: "The Locker Room"

The SS26 collection is all about "The Locker Room", capturing the energy and vibe of the space where athletes prepare and unwind. Creative Director Pelagia Kolotouros has created a line that bridges the gap between the court and the street, blending classic tennis heritage with a sharp, modern edge.

A Legacy of Parisian Runway

While Lacoste has been a household name since 1927, its presence on the global runways has evolved into a symbol of French sophistication. From its debut shows in New York to its current home at Paris Fashion Week, the brand has consistently used the runway to push the boundaries of the 'Polo' identity. This SS26 show marked a significant moment in that timeline, moving away from traditional silhouettes toward a more architectural and conceptual look.

Pelagia Kolotouros: Redefining the Icon

Since taking the creative lead in 2023, Pelagia Kolotouros has masterfully balanced Lacoste’s athletic heritage with a high-fashion edge. With a background at brands like Yeezy and Calvin Klein, she brings a unique perspective to the house, focusing on oversized proportions and experimental textures. Her vision for SS26 isn't just about sportswear; it’s about 'athleisure luxury', creating pieces that feel as much at home in a gallery as they do on the court.

It’s in the Details

This collection is defined by its unique details. The iconic crocodile gets a fresh update with 'grass-green' embroidery, inspired by the texture of a tennis court. From oversized fits in 'Clay Orange' to technical fabrics in 'Archival Blue,' these pieces show Lacoste at its most daring level yet.

Technical Innovation & Craftsmanship

Beyond the aesthetic, Lacoste's runway collections are a playground for fabric innovation. The SS26 line uses 'flyaway' nylons, technical silks, and intricate knitwear that challenge the standard perception of tennis apparel. By combining archival techniques with modern production, Kolotouros ensures that each piece offers a level of functionality and comfort that stays true to René Lacoste's original vision of "freedom of movement."

The Experience: A Dutch Exclusive

To celebrate this launch, we have recreated the actual runway experience in-store. This includes the iconic 'towel-stack' seating used during the Paris presentation, offering you a unique opportunity to step into the world of the SS26 runway. This is a one-of-a-kind chance to discover and shop exclusive runway pieces that aren't available anywhere else in the country.
